Recently Seen: The Nazis: A Warning from History
Netflix says: Through archival footage and interviews with those who survived Adolph Hitler's reign -- including unrepentant Nazis -- this comprehensive documentary series sheds new light on the rise of the Third Reich in Germany. Chapters reveal how the Nazi state compelled ordinary people to commit atrocities, the order and disorder within the German army, and Hitler's propensity for getting his minions to do his work, among other enlightening facts.
Rob says: Many other documentaries have already done in depth looks at this period of history, but so far, none have looked at the different stages that lead up to what we know of today. It's eerie, frightening even, at some of the similarities between how the Nazi party was run and that of a recent administration. How world events lead to both gaining power. How both had chaotic elements hovering around the central figurehead which once in power, had no interest in the daily operations. How easily the masses bought into the propaganda machine.
