Rob says: My friend and I went to see Darren Aronofsky's
"Black Swan" tonight and went going into it not knowing what to expect. My friend used to be a ballerina back in the day and was hoping for another "Turning Point." Well, if anyone has those same expectations, let me tell you, it's quite different than that. This is not your grandma's ballet. The movie delves into the psyche of the main character, Nina, played by Natalie Portman and what we see is quite disturbing. It's about her slow unraveling and her loss of touch with reality, but beautifully done. Not quite what we expected, but I do have to agree with my other friends that had already seen it. It is an amazing film. Though be warned, it ain't always pretty.
4.5 out of 5 stars.
